Nollywood actress and actor Biola Adebayo and Mofehintola Jebutu have both shown that being a face in the movie industry, being amidst all the paparazzi and the busy set life would not stop them from actualizing their academic goals.

These viewers’ favorites have both bagged Master’s degrees from the University of Lagos and are proud to flaunt their successes. Actress Biola Adebayo bagged a Master’s of public administration, while Mofe on the other hand bagged a Master’s of Arts in Theatre Arts.

The actors have also briefly cited some of the challenges to their study, some of the huddles they have had to cross to achieve their goals of furthering their education, against all odds.

“M.A in the bag, Naaa who dey breeet? Illuminated by God. Quite a tough journey through 2018. Lots of travels. Filming AMforbidden and schooling. Projects, friends, classes, church and the sidelines. I give glory to God and those that contributed immensely to this journey. The making of an actor,” Mofe wrote on his IG page.

The ‘Awon Aladun De’ actor, however, dedicated the degree to his late dad Dayo Olusanya Jebutu. He wrote: “Hey dad, thanks for this. I really appreciate you for your love, support and prayers. I love you so much. This one is for you. (Rest in Power).”

For actress Biola Adebayo, it was a case of ‘delay not denial’ as she recounted her journey through success. She wrote, “A street hawker, a secondary school dropout, then a graduate and now a proud masters degree holder. Combining my masters program with work was one of the most difficult things that have ever happened to me but in all, I have victory.

“Things didn’t happen for some of us at the ‘expected time’ (at the time the world expects it to be) but we did it anyway. (At God’s time, the appointed time). if things happen for you on time and smoothly oh, I thank God for you and I tap into your grace. I pray for greater grace for myself and anyone in my shoes.

“It wasn’t easy at all but God has been too good to me. If you need to know about grace, please study me. It didn’t happen on time but I did it anyway. Thank you Jesus, I am indeed grateful for everything.”
