THE Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), the Trade Union Congress, and the United Labour Congress in Nasarawa state has aligned with the National Executive Council (NEC) of the union to commence yet another strike come November 6th.
Stressing position of the Labour union in Lafia, the state chairman Comrade Abdullahi Adeka, announced that ” all workers in Nasarawa state are hereby put on notice to begin mobilisation to embark on a total and indefinite strike action effective 6th November 2018″.

He further condemned the Federal Government for threatening to implement a ‘no work, no pay’ policy, saying that the government should instead consider a policy that criminalises the non-payment of salaries, but busy muzzling with labour to deny them their entitlement which is against the principle collective bargaining.
He, however, called on the workers to ” disregard the threat of no work no pay by the government as workers are already working without being adequately paid, hence call for collective struggle to reposition that.
“We also call on workers to reject this by voting out at the next polls all anti-workers and anti-minimum wage politicians”, he reiterated.
He advised the workers to store foodstuffs and other essential daily needs as the strike is going to be totally effective.
