Nigerian women, highest number of porn watchers in the world — Seyi Hunter

Published by

Nollywood actress and film producer, Seyi Hunter enjoys a reputation as one of Nigeria’s sex educators and stakeholders in the adult entertainment business. With websites like Sinful Friday, Outdoor Porn, she reveals on FRIDAY TREAT today, some of her adult secrets.

A lot of people believe that pornography is more popular among young people in Nigeria today, and even then it is more men than women that indulge. As an investor in the adult entertainment industry and a leading Nigerian producer, how true is this?

It is not true. We have a report from Pornhub, a leading adult website, that shows that in 2020, Nigerian women were the highest number of those who watched porn in the world. Even I was surprised that Nigerian women are number one in the world.

What does this revelation say of Nigerian women?

Nigerians are hypocritical in nature, so it is only normal that the women are.

You have adult entertainment projects. Tell us about them and what the reception  is, since many Nigerians publicly frown at such.

I started initially on a platform where you can access all my videos, but now I also have a channel on xvideos.com, which is an international platform where everyone can watch. From the time I started till now, Sinful Friday has already given birth to two children, Schoolgirl Porn and Outdoor Porn, so that leads me to say that the channel is doing well.

How profitable is the adult industry really?

The truth is that producing porn has helped me expand my importation business. Now, I am fully back into Nollywood as an actress and producer, and it is my adult entertainment business that I used in funding all these. It has given birth to other businesses for me.

How long has it been since you started?

14 months.

During the height of the COVID-19 lockdown, many complained of a drop in business. How did you cope?

The lockdown period was the best of our season because everybody was at home. Couples were online all the time; even husbands who didn’t stay home with their wives were home. Being a sex educator, I hear a lot of things and during that time, many people explored and experimented with their wives and husbands. So it was a 1000 per cent season of increase for us.

You took a break from Nollywood, and are back now. Tell us about your mainstream projects.

I just produced ‘Konko’ (meaning frog in Yoruba). In it, we have Funso Adeolu, Opeyemi Aiyeola, Adeniyi Johnson, a few others and I.

How easy was it for you to be a producer and an actor in the same film?

It is draining, but the Yoruba arm of the film industry makes it much easier because there are coordinators. So as a producer, most times you don’t need to do a lot of running around.

What else are you working on at the moment?

I’m working on two things. I am trying to shoot a movie for Iroko TV and then another Yoruba film. Since I am back fully now, my aim is to keep producing movies every month till December.

You generate quite the level of controversy because of your line of business. How do you handle propositions especially on social media?

The craziest one I got was months ago. I made up my mind to start pushing out productions every month as a result of that. Last week, a director contacted me that he wanted me to do a project for him. When he sent me the script, I saw that he was giving me the lead role. I have not been in the industry since 2018, and now that I am back, giving me a lead role does not add up business-wise. I am a businesswoman so I know it is not a smart move except there is a catch. So I told him straight that I don’t do nude or expose my body on camera, neither do I allow fondling; if you want a romantic scene, I can give you that because there are so many ways to project that. He said that was not what he meant. He then sent me a one-minute clip to show what he needed from me. The lady was walking and her full back, up to her legs were naked, no panties. When I saw the video, I laughed. At this stage if I want to do porn, why would I do it for someone else’s gain?

The truth is that there are millions of people out there who want to see my own porn clip. Nigerians don’t understand the difference between a pornography producer and a pornstar, they all assume that I am a porn star.

If I make a porn video, I will make millions. The porn stars that appear in the videos on my site are professionals, that is their job. My own job in that industry is to be a producer and a director, that is my strength, not to be in front of a camera in that industry. But I am still a Nollywood actress.

People come to me with different propositions. Like some would say they would give me a certain amount just to sleep with me. Some of them don’t even come to ask me out on a date, they just try to proposition me with millions of naira. But I can’t do that.

Some even offer to transfer money to me before anything. The truth is that we all want money, but how I get the money is very important to me. For example, I take a lot of pride in my importation business; it gives me joy.
