The Nigeria Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, who is the senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Kwara state, is currently in early defeat, as Dr Ibrahim Oloriegbe, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), floors him in the two local governments announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced the result for Ilorin East and Asa local government areas, where Oloriegbe won in both.
In Ilorin east, Oloriegbe had 30,014 votes ahead of Saraki who had 14,654 votes while in Asa, the APC candidate polled 15,932 votes ahead of the Senate president, who had 11,252 votes.
