The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Collation Officer in Osun, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, on Monday said 12,082 votes were cancelled due to over-voting in Saturday’s presidential election in the state.
Ogundipe, who is also the Vice -Chancellor, University of Lagos, announced this while giving a breakdown of election results for 13 Local Government Areas of the state at the INEC National Collation Centre in Abuja.
The Osun State Collation officer said that 1,674,729 votes were registered; 732,984 were accredited; 731,882 votes were cast and 714,682 voided in the 16 LGAs of the state.

He mentioned that the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 347,634 votes.
Ogundipe also said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) had 337,377 votes in the state.
