Dr Amina Bello, Wife of Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State, has debunked publication alleging her involvement in the sale of water to residents in parts of Minna metropolis, the state capital while describing the publication as not true and a figment of the reporter’s imagination.

Dr Bello, a Consultant Gynecologist, stated this in a statement issued by her Press Secretary, Rabi Sarki Bello and made available to Journalists in Minna, just as she described the allegations as not only spurious but mischievous.

She explained that the borehole in question was constructed by ‘RAISE Foundation’ a Non- Governmental Organization ( NGO) being promoted by her, adding that the foundation was part of her Girl-child education intervention aimed at increasing enrollment and retention of girls in school.

The statement stated further that the alleged N100 million purported to have been received from partners was false and unfounded.

According to her, “money generated from the project was used for maintaining borehole and water services.”

She said it was also used for the empowerment of youths who drive the tankers and interventions such as the VVF surgical repairs, MNCH program, skill acquisition and treatment for cancer patients.
