The National Executive Council (NEC) and Board of Trustee of Theatre and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has lifted the ban on politics in the theatre practitioners’ guild.
With the action, popular actor, Mr Latin, who is eyeing the president seat has started preparation for the election.
In the same vein, movie producer, Yemi Amodu, has made public his intention to contest for the position of the director of publicity & research of the association.
The current BoT chairman, Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello); BoT Secretary, Prince Jide Kosoko and the incumbent president of the association, Dele Odule, have expressed the association’s readiness to conduct election before the end of the year.

R gathered that sale of forms will close on November 10, just as the screening exercise will hold on December 8, at the national office of the association.
Manifesto might will hold on December 11, while the election proper will be held December 12.
It was gathered that the state elections will be held on November 29 and the handing over ceremony on December 20.
