The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has described as false the insinuation that the federal government through it has given a directive that from 1st December 2021 travellers without proof of vaccination would not be permitted to board both local and international flights.
The regulatory agency in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Sam Adurogboye, said such a directive never emanated from it.
The agency, therefore, called on the public to discountenance such reports saying there was no iota of truth in it.
“On the other hand, we want to enjoin purveyor of such unfounded news to cross-check facts before publishing,” NCAA said.
While the authority pledged to continue to support all Federal Government initiatives to curb the spread of the Delta variant, it, however, emphasised strict adherence to safety protocols in and out of the airports through wearing our face-mask, washing our hands periodically, using alcohol-based hand sanitiser, maintaining social distance and avoiding crowded space.
