The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure in collaboration with a Kebbi State-based NGO, the Khadimiyya for Justice Initiative and Development (KJID) and the Khadi Malami Foundation are to set up a skill acquisition centre in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
In a press statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of Khadimiyya for Justice And Development Initiative (KJDI), Ibrahim Abubakar Jombali and made available to Tribune Online stated that the Board of Trustee Chairman (BOT) of Khadimiyya, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Gotomo led the two Foundations and the NASEI to inspect the land earmarked for the skill centre building.
Gotomo stated that the importance of skills acquisition cannot be overemphasised considering the role it will play in making the Youths be self-reliant, adding that the centre when completed, will serve as an empowerment hub that will provide employment opportunities to the terminal youth population.
He stated further that establishing the acquisition centre is part of the Hon Ministry of Justice who is the founder of the two foundations to get rid of unemployment among the teeming Youths.
In his speech at the Palace of the District Head of Bagudo, the Treasurer of Khadimiyya Alhaji Muhammad Bello Nasarawa said that on hearing that NASEI want to build an acquisition center in the state, the Hon. Minister directed the Foundations to acquire lands for the Agency, hence their visit to Bagudo for the assessment of the site.

The Director General of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure who was represented by his Director of procurement, Dr Muhammad explained that the Agency will construct the center as part of the organisation mandate to train youths on different skills which include, tailoring, building, mechanic etc, which according to him will be a huge benefit to the youths of Kebbi State.
Dr Muhammad also gave kudos to the Minister for establishing NGOs of such magnitude which offers humanitarian activities, philantropic gestures to the people of the state.
