Ogechi Ukonu professionally known as Caramel Plug aka Caramel is a Nigerian social media personality, comedian and entrepreneur. She is also the founder of Caramel Shop her clothing brand.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria on May 28 2000, she is from Igbere in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State. Caramel graduated from Loral International School, where she received her First School Living and West African School Certificates.
Ogechi relocated to Canada in 2016 to study Global Development at the University of Fraser Valley, Vancouver.
In 2018, Caramel kicked off her online career when she created her youtube channel. She posted her first video on the 5th of December same year and in 2019 she joined Instagram. Caramel became popular when one of her videos where she ranted about the popular TV show Game Of Thrones went viral after it was picked up and reposted by several celebrities on their pages. As her popularity grew, so did her followers on social media too. This led to her working with several brands as an influencer.
On December 23, 2020, one of such brands, an online fashion shopping portal Payporte signed Caramel as their brand ambassador. She has also promoted brands like FashionNova, Divine Looks Makeovers, Rachi Hairthentic, Ko Si Wahala Fashion Store, Jurlly She, Ego Shoes and Chic Me.
Ogechi currently lives in Vancouver, Canada and hopes to graduate later in 2021.
