It is better late than never, ‘Mayor of Lagos’ and Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) act, Mayokun Adewale, known professionally as ‘Mayorkun’ has finally broken his music silence as he drops his first single of the year in August, entitled: ‘Let me know’.
The singer had earlier announced on his social media platforms that he would be dropping the track off his sophomore album. He wrote: “My first 2021 single, ‘Let me know’, off my sophomore album! Out everywhere at midnight! Shoutout to ‘The Geng’for always rocking with me, love you all.”
The singer, however, dropped the single at midnight as promised and on his twitter page said he poured his whole heart into producing the track. “Poured my whole heart into this one, I hope you all f**k with it!”
Meanwhile, the new track ‘Let me know’ was released under foreign label Sony Music and not DMW. This has raised a lot of speculations online as many are of the opinion that the singer is no longer under DMW, even though there is no official announcement of his departure from the label yet. Could this be the end of the singe’s journey with Davido’s DMW?
