He maintained that having sacrificed parts of their salaries for over two years, top-level civil servants in the employ of the state government deserved full payment of their monthly salaries and wages in the interest of fair play and justice.
Making this disclosure while delivering a speech at Osogbo Township Stadium, Adekomi said “we commend the governor for not laying off any worker.
Payment of full salary and pension should commence. Arrears of the modulated salary and pension should also be paid”.
According to him, the state government should commence the payment of full salaries and other emoluments to some categories of workforce, who have made sacrifices through the receipt of modulated salaries since July, 2015, stressing that workers’ perseverance had contributed to Aregbesola-led administration’s achievements in capital projects such as road construction; education and other infrastructural facilities.
While appealing to the state government to also remit contributory pension deductions from workers to their Pension Funds Administrators (PFAs), Adekomi tasked Nigerians, regardless of ethnic and religious affiliations to support the unity and peace of the nation.

In his remark, Aregbesola commended the workers for their sacrifices and dedication to duties, considering the financial challenges facing the state, which culminated in the payment of modulated salary for some categories of senior civil servants and political appointees.
He, however, implored the workforce to give maximum support to his successor in office, saying this would go long way to further enhance socio-economic developments of Osun and promote good governance.
Aregbesola maintained that such support was critical to engendering steady and overall growth of the state, adding that all hands must be on the deck by all stakeholders to contribute selflessly to protect the collective interest of Osun State.
