Man killed by armed robbers in Osun buried amidst tears

One Jelili Aladeokin killed by armed robbers who raided on Thursday in Iree of Boripe local government area of Osun State was on Friday buried amidst tears by his family members and close associates.

The deceased was buried in an Islamic way at the town Muslim cemetery at about 11:00 a.m where Islamic clerics performed the burial rite was performed.

In an interview with the deceased wife, who refused to mention her name as she was weeping profusely said, “what I want is for the concerned authorities to fish out his killers and bring them to book.

Also, a community leader who identified himself as Adekunlr Mohammed said that his death would remain unerased in the minds of the indigenes of the town for he has contributed positively to its growth.

While commenting on the incident, the State Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode said “the attacks were carried out simultaneously on the police station and the banks.”

“The police is still combing the area and we are assuring you that, the manhunt would continue until the assailants are arrested.”

The commissioner however stated that “four people who were injured during the attacks were receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital while some vehicles used for the robbery operation numbering four were dumped by the armed robbers and are now in the police custody.”

The commissioner charged members of the public to always cooperate with the police by providing useful information that would help in taming criminal activities before they would be carried out.
