THE National Orientation of Agency (NOA) in Kebbi says it will soon embark on a sensitisation campaign towards the forthcoming local government elections slated for July 15.
The agency’s state Director, Mr Joseph Machika, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Brinin Kebbi on Tuesday.
Machika, while urging the state electoral commission to ensure adequate preparation, said the conduct of the council elections would go a long way in enhancing development in rural areas.
The agency, he said, was set to educate voters on the different voting rules as well as the expected roles for a free and fair election.
“The agency will not relent in enlightening the public on the policies and programmes of both the state and Federal Government.
“This is to ensure that the people benefit from the dividends of democracy.”
According to him, the sensitisation exercise, which will last for 11 days, will be across the 21 local government areas of the state.
He also appealed to eligible youths to register in order to partake in the elections.
