Candidate of the All progressives Congress (APC) in Agege local government, Hon. Ganiu Egunjobi at the local council polls held in Lagos State on Saturday has been declared the winner of polls.
The Returning Officer for the election, Mr Salami Ojo announced that Egunjobi polled 6,226 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Sola Osolana of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 4,114 votes.
Other results as announced at the Agege collation centre are Kosenimola Esther of Accord Party who polled 64 votes, Oyekan Oluwatobi of Action Democratic Party (ADP) secured 47 votes.
Of the total number of registered voters of 1, 261, 673 in the district, total accredited voters was 104, 984 while the total vote cast was 104, 405 with 102, 336 valid votes and 2, 069 declared as invalid.
Also in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, APC candidate, Hon Dele Oshinowo was declared winner of the chairmanship election.
Returning Officer for the election, Omoniyi Odufuwa declared that Oshinowo polled 26, 771 votes to defeat the Peoples democratic party candidate, Oluwole Dahunsi who got 2, 749 votes.
