Lagos-Badagry Expressway: Alakija/Navy Town Junction ready in 10 days ― LASG

Lagos State government has said that reconstruction of Alakija/Navy Town Junction of Lagos- Badagry Expressway will be completed and delivered within the next 10 days, effective from Monday, 26th, August 2019.

Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, Engineer Olujimi Hotonu, disclosed this at the weekend in a release made available to newsmen, saying this was in fulfilment of earlier promise made by the state governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo–Olu, to complete the reconstruction of the Segment 2 of Lot 2A (Agboju – Trade Fair) of the expressway by the end of this year.

Hotonu further disclosed that the contractors handling the project, China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC), had been mobilised and mandated to complete the construction work on Alakija/Navy Town Junction within 10 days in order to ease the traffic movement in the area.

The permanent secretary appealed for understanding by road users along the corridor, assuring that the construction work would not exceed the 10-day deadline promised.

Hotonu explained that the state government had made adequate alternative arrangements for commuters plying the road to ensure a hitch-free journey on both sides of the road.

According to him, the following alternative arrangements have been provided for commuters to ease their journey to and fro during the period.
