A young lady identified as Choice has revealed how she was lured by N40,000 ushering job into the hands of a one-chance employer who stripped her of her clothes and valuables in Abuja.
Choice narrated her horrific experience via a now-viral video on TikTok.
According to Choice, her neighbour named Chika gave her the number of the supposed employer whom she chatted with on WhatsApp.
She disclosed that “the employer” said there were reservations for ushers to work all night at an event his company was hosting.
Choice also revealed that she went through what seemed like an interview process, being asked questions like Have you ushered before? How many events have you ushered in? Do you have a black gown?
She added that the “employer” also requested details like name, age, address, WhatsApp number and full pictures.
“They even sent me a flyer for the event.
“I was told a bus would pick us up but was later told the bus left.
“The employer gave directions to a place called Karemo
“He said he would send his gardener to come and pick me.
“The gardener came, and we left together.
“As we proceeded, I told him the location was far, but he said since I didn’t take Uber, we can only take the back gate because the front gate is far.
“I said okay and followed him. All of a sudden, he brought out a gun, took me into the bush, asked me to strip naked, collected my bag, took my Huawei, iPhone and torch light phones, ” Choice disclosed.
Choice went on to reveal that the assailant asked her to take a loan, but she said she hadn’t collected a loan before in her life. As an alternative, they asked her to start texting people to send her money.
“I didn’t have anybody to call to send me money, but I called one of my friends. They said I should tell him to send me 30,000.
“He sent the money, and they gave me an Opay account to send it to. These guys molested me so much, ” Choice wept.
She revealed that they returned her iPhone, saying they didn’t need it, which was how she was able to release the chats she had with her assailants.
