Nigerian rising star Kwate is making serious waves in the music scene, and his latest single “Usain Bolt” is proof that he’s not slowing down anytime soon.
The track, which blends catchy hooks with an infectious afro-fusion rhythm, debuted on the Top 200 Shazam Nigeria chart and impressively peaked at number 21, signaling growing national interest and public curiosity surrounding his sound. “Usain Bolt” has quickly become a fan favorite, with listeners drawn to its high-energy delivery and vibrant production.
This momentum comes right as Kwate prepares to hit some of the biggest stages of his career. He’s been officially announced as one of the opening acts for Davido’s 5Ive Alive Tour, with performances lined up at the Pavilion at Toyoyo Music Factory in Dallas on July 16th, and the Toyota Center in Houston on July 17th, 2025. The tour is expected to draw massive crowds, giving Kwate a platform to showcase his talent to a wider international audience.
Earlier this year, his single “Shout Out To My Ex” gained notable traction across social platforms, particularly TikTok, where it generated over 9,000 posts and reactions. The buzz highlighted Kwate’s ability to connect with fans and stay relevant in an ever-evolving digital music landscape.
With chart success, viral buzz, and a spot on one of Afrobeats’ biggest tours, Kwate is clearly building momentum at the right pace. If “Usain Bolt” is any indication of what’s to come, he’s sprinting straight into the spotlight—and he’s not looking back.
