FORMER Kano State governor, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has awarded degree scholarship to a total of 514 indigent students through his Kwankwassiya Development Foundation.
The beneficiaries who were drawn from 36 states of the country sat for an aptitude test online and were selected after passing the examinations.
According to the mode of selection, four candidates were selected from across the country with two of them being females and the other two, males, thereby giving equal opportunities to the two genders.
It would be recalled that over four million Nigerians have so benefited from the benevolence of Kwankwaso since inception of the programme about six years ago .
Many have obtained their degrees through the foundation from the best universities in Britain, India and Dubai.
The 514 successful applicants for this year are to be enrolled at Mewar International University which was established by Indian nationals at Masaka in Nasarawa State, Nigeria.
