The Kenya Airways (KQ) has fulfilled its pledge to reward the 2016 Travelscope magazine Youth Tourism essay competition winner with a return free ticket to Nairobi, Kenya.
The organiser of the event and Managing Editor, Travelscope Magazine, Omololu Olumuyiwa while presenting the KQ ticket to the winner, Ebenezer Oyawale lauded the airline for its unflinching support and development of youth tourism.
“With the return ticket, Kenya Airways has further demonstrated that Africans should embrace one another to explore the tourism potential within the continent that cannot be experienced in any other continent.
“The annual platform is not only an opportunity to rally youth and stakeholders in tourism, but also to re-educate and make them active participants to enable them contribute positively towards sustainable development of the sector in Nigeria,” Olumuyiwa explained.
In his response, the essay competition winner, Oyawale, a tourism management student of Federal Polytechnic, Ede, said “For me, the trip to Kenya is a dream come true, knowing that the country is one of the leading safari destinations in Africa.
“Kenya Airways and Travelscope have re-awakened my passion for tourism. With the knowledge I have earlier gained at the youth tourism forum and with the presentation of this flight ticket, it avails me another opportunity to practically explore the tourism potential in Kenya,” Oyawale said.
