Kidnappers took mama away without her BP drugs, Siasia cries out

Dennis Siasia, the younger brother to former Super Eagles Coach, Samson, has confirmed the abduction of their 76 years old mother, Madam Beauty Ogere Siasia at her residence in Odoni community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

According to him, the kidnappers whisked away their aged mother without taking along her High Blood Pressure drugs and mobile phone.

The incident, which occurred during the early hours of Monday, threw the community into shock as two other women, Florence Dounana, age 65, and her daughter Selekere Dounana, age 17, were also kidnapped.

Also speaking to Tribune Online on the telephone, Mr. Moses Siasia, one-time governorship candidate and businessman “yes, the abductors have not contacted the family. We have reported to the Police. She was taken away without taking along her drugs.

“Even if they ask her for our numbers, she would not be able to help because she cannot recall mobile numbers. We are full of prayers and hoping she would be released soon.”

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Police Force, Bayelsa State Command, said it has launched a manhunt to apprehend the kidnappers and rescue the victims as quick as possible.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Asinim Butswat, in a statement issued in Yenagoa confirmed the incident, saying the kidnappers who were heavily armed whisked their victims away through the River Nun to an unknown destination.

“On 15 July, 2019 about 2 am, unknown gunmen who were heavily armed came through the waterways of the River Nun and invaded the residence of one Mrs Beauty Siasia, in Odoni Community, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State and whisked her away through the waterways to an unknown destination.

“The Commissioner of Police Bayelsa State command and the command’s Tactical Team has visited the scene of the crime. The command in collaboration with other security stakeholders has launched a manhunt to apprehend the killers and rescue the victim. The investigation is ongoing.”
