THE Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) Managing Director, Dr Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna, has commended the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for its intervention equipment worth over N9 billion provided to the company, saying the equipment will boost power supply as well enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of the corporation.
According to him, with these gigantic equipment Kano, Katsina, and Jigawa states will be experiencing an increase in providing efficient power supply.
Gwamna stated this when he inspected the new branded transformers and accessories that were procured by KEDCO, through the fund got from the CBN.
“We appreciate the efforts of the governor of the central bank, the minister of power, and all other stakeholders for this intervention,” he said.
The managing director of KEDCO said with the intervention, all the needed accessories required to enhance the power supply were provided, while new feeders were under construction to reduce the load of the areas that were congested.

Dr Gwamna who inspected the newly procured transformers and accessories expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the equipment and assured that the power supply in Kano, Katsina, and Jigawa states would be improved.
He also inspected the ongoing construction of additional feeders at farm center Kano, to enhance effective service delivery.
