Kazaure commends corps members for successful polls

The Director General, National Youth Service Corps, (NYSC) Maj-Gen Suleman Kazaure has expressed satisfaction with the conduct and performance of corps member during the recently concluded polls.

Kazaure spoke with journalists yesterday shortly after his on-the-sport-assessment of the facilities at the temporal Orientation Camp, Okada, Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State said that as Ad-hoc staff of the electoral body, they performed excellently.

“I am satisfied with the conduct and performance of corps member during the 2019 general election. They have done well and made the NYSC proud.”

Kazaure pleaded with the corp members to take the skills acquisition training programme seriously in order to acquire skills and be self-reliance and employers of labour as a white collar job is no longer available.

The director general told them to keep away from advance free fraud,  cultism, drug abuse and violence.

Kazaure urged the corps member to impart on their host communities through their community development service.

The state coordinator of the scheme, Mr Adebayo Ojo commended the director general for his support even as he appealed for a new ambulance to meet the need of corps members on camp.

He noted that the donation of the ambulance would invariably save them the stress of begging for an additional ambulance from the State Ministry of Health whenever the need for arises.

The coordinator, however, commended the state government for his intervention in the construction of the permanent orientation camp in the state.
