Kayset to dominate music industry with new EP, reveals plans to improve career

Nigerian sensational singer and songwriter, Emmanuel Patrick, with stage name Kayset has recently broke the internet with his latest track, ’Nwanne’ featuring Yovi that has dominated radio stations across the country.
Kayset came into limelight in 2019 with his debut track, ‘Jeje’, an afrobeat song whose tune and inspiration were drawn from Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Wizkid and a couple of other artistes notable for this genre.
The artiste who holds a bachelor degree in Botany from the University of Calabar in a recent interview said he is putting finishing touches to his much-touted song titled ‘Dorime’ which will be released on November 19th, 2021 serving as the last single release before the EP.
Speaking on his life, Kayset said he was born into a Christian family in Delta State, and grew up singing and rapping in secondary school at the age of 13, while also shuffling as a chorister and major Drums set player.
He added, “I draw inspiration majorly from happenings in my environment and my woman. Being an unsigned and independent artist in an industry like Nigeria is definitely not an easy venture. I’m also willing to work with interested record labels.
“Music is just a part of me. Without music I can’t express myself; I see music as a way of expressing myself and anytime I’m doing it it always gives me joy,” he asserted.
Reacting on his performance, Kayset said he has performed at different events across Nigeria, including United Arab Emirates, at different times; sharing the stages with the biggest artists out of Africa, the likes of Olamide, Burna Boy, D’Banj, Zlatan, Naira Marley, and others.
Kayset asserted that his debut E.P slated for release later in 2022. He has unreleased songs with artists including; Dotman, Magnito and Jamopyper; which he said his fans should be on the lookout for.
In 2020, Kayset was nominated and won several musical awards including; Top Naija Music Awards, Best Afro Pop Single – Nomination, Maxivibes Global Awards, Best Indigenous Song – Winner.
In future, Kayset hopes to work with Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Nasty C, Zlatan,  and Davido.
