The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has granted a 43.746-hectare land allocation to the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, for the development of Post-Service Housing estates dedicated to NAF Senior Non-Commissioned Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers.
During a brief ceremony in Abuja, the Administrator of the Kaduna Capital Territory Authority (KCTA), Samuel Aruwan, representing Governor Sani, officially presented the land documents to Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar.
In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, the Governor’s representative commended the CAS for his leadership and praised the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) for its unwavering commitment and sacrifices in the ongoing battle against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and various forms of criminality in Kaduna State and the nation as a whole.
Aruwan, who also serves as the Overseer of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, assured NAF of the State Government’s dedication to enhancing the welfare of NAF personnel and all security forces.
After the land presentation, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar expressed his appreciation to Governor Sani and the people of Kaduna State for this generous gesture. He emphasized that this gesture signifies the enduring and harmonious relationship between NAF and Kaduna State, dating back to the 1960s.
Furthermore, he underlined the significance of providing affordable Post-Service Housing Estates for NAF personnel, stating, “The most valuable resource that the NAF possesses is its personnel, and without well-motivated and dedicated personnel, the most sophisticated weapon system will be ineffective.” He pledged that the allocated land would be used effectively.
This allocation of 43.746 hectares marks the first of two approvals promised to the Nigerian Air Force by Governor Sani. The second approval, amounting to 44.894 hectares, will be presented to NAF upon the successful completion of all necessary processes as outlined by the Kaduna Capital Territory Authority (KCTA).
