Gunmen have killed six persons and injured eight when they attacked Sabon Sara Village in Kidandan of Giwa Local Govt Area of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the gunmen stormed the village at about 1.30am on Saturday in their efforts to kidnap one Alhaji Na Sidi a seasoned farmer in the village according to a source who pleaded anonymity.
He said the gunmen who failed to kidnap the farmer, however, abducted his wife but luck ran out of them when the community responded in time and rescued her from the gunmen.
Our source said the hoodlums then opened fire on the villagers thereby killing six persons on the spot, while eight persons sustained injuries from gunshots.

The source gave the names of the deceased persons as Ibrahim Bakanike, Lawal S/Pawa, Lawal Belo, Tukur Bilyaminu Kafinta and Ummaru Abdullahi Mai Rake and Fatima Ahmad.
As at the time of filing this report, the survivors of the attack were taken to Kauran Wali Clinic in Zaria for treatment. All the deceased have since been buried according to Islamic rites.
When contacted the Police Public Relations Officer DSP Sabo Yakubu could not confirm the incident.
