The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced plans to commence the next phase of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise, directing candidates who participated in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) to verify their application status through its recruitment portal.

In a press release signed by the Secretary to the Board, A. M. Jibril, on Saturday, applicants who sat for the CBT conducted in November 2025 were asked to visit the official recruitment portal between June 15 and June 20, 2026, to confirm whether they have been shortlisted for the physical screening and document verification stage.

According to the statement, shortlisted candidates will be required to log into the portal using the application number generated during registration, upload relevant credentials, and choose their preferred date and venue for the screening exercise.

“The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) wishes to inform the general public, especially applicants for the 2024/2025 Recruitment Exercise, of its plan to move to the next stage of the exercise, which is physical screening and document verification.”

“Accordingly, applicants who took part in the online Computer-Based Test (CBT) held in November 2025 are to access the Board’s official recruitment portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng from Monday, 15th to Friday, 20th June 2026, to verify their status.”

The Board stressed that the recruitment process remains free of charge and warned candidates against making payments to individuals or groups claiming to influence shortlisting, screening venue allocation, or final selection.

“The Board wishes to emphasize that the recruitment process is completely FREE. Hence, no FEE should be paid by applicants to any individual, agent, group or organization claiming to render assistance with shortlisting, venue allocation, document upload, access to screening venue, or final selection.”

CDCFIB also cautioned applicants and members of the public against fraudulent recruitment messages and unofficial links, noting that all authentic information regarding the exercise would be communicated through approved channels.

“The general public is advised to ignore fake recruitment messages, fraudulent links, and unauthorized persons claiming to represent the Board. Kindly note that all official updates shall be communicated through the CDCFIB recruitment portal as well as approved official communication channels.”

The Board reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a transparent and merit-driven recruitment process in line with established guidelines.

“The Board remains committed to ensuring that the exercise is conducted in the most transparent, credible, merit-based and in consonance with extant rules guiding recruitment processes.”
