Israel-Hamas war: Senate seeks ceasefire, asks FG to press for two-state solution

The Senate on Tuesday asked the federal government to seek cooperation with the United Nations to push for ceasefire in the raging Israel-Hamas war

Apart from immediate ceasefire, the Senate equally urged the federal government to demand for a two state arrangement as panacea to the conflict.

The Senate resolution was sequel to a motion sponsored by former Kebbi State governor and Senator representing Kebbi central, Adamu Aliero.

Co- sponsored by 43 others, Aliero noted that the casualty figures was a cause for global concern and further claimed that the crisis could precipitate a Third World War.
