Importance of discipline among youths

THE prevailing social decadence and moral bankruptcy among Nigerian youths and the adverse effects on the social fabric of the nation calls for serious attention. Consequently, there is a need to focus on discipline and its importance.

Discipline can simply be defined as an act of training the mind and body to comply with societal norms, values and rules. There is the need to instill discipline in the youth for them to form good character and become law-abiding citizens in their later lives.

Discipline inculcates in the youth high moral values and self restraint. Above all, for the youth to assume their rightful positions as future leaders, they must imbibe discipline. For a nation grows by the quality of its young folks.
