VICE President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has said that he is less concerned about the rumour of his resignation from office, saying that his focus is on how to complement efforts of President Muhammadu Buhari to take Nigeria to next level of development.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin on Thursday during his door to door campaign, the vice president said that the rumoured resignation was part of idle propaganda of the opposition.
Osinbajo, who moved round the Ilorin metropolis in the company of the All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwarts said that what Nigeria needs is an honest man that can take Nigeria to the next level.
He said that there is no need wasting time to respond to the propaganda of the opposition.
Earlier, the vice president had hailed the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, over his neutrality in his dealings with political gladiators in the state.
He said that the Emir had shown good leadership and maintained balance despite the fact that some of his sons and daughters were contesting against themselves in various elective positions in the 2019 general elections.

While going down memory lane, he described the royal father as a respected judge during his active days on the bench, adding that he was in Ilorin to consult and have an interface with members of the APC ahead of the Saturday’s rescheduled presidential and National Assembly elections.
“It is our desire that President Muhammadu Buhari is voted for to go for the second term and our governorship candidate, Alhaji Abdul-Rahaman Abdulrasaq and all our candidates for House of Representatives and Senate,” he said.
In his response, Sulu-Gambari, who expressed delight over the visit, prayed for continued peace and development in the state and the country as a whole.
