Speaking with journalists in Ilorin at the weekend, chairman of the planning committee for the centenary celebration, Dr David Olayemi, said that the community has invited family members of missionaries that brought Christian faith to the area from Europe during next Christmas.
Dr Olayemi, who said that the area has a lot to thank for in the past 100 years, said that the celebration would afford residents to review Christianity in the area and chart a way for future progress.

He also said that activities for the centenary celebration would include visitation to churches and institutions established through the Christian faith.
The chairman, committee for centenary celebration also said that the community would also review establishment of ECWA Demonstration School, Bible College, Seminary, ECWA Secondary School, Radio ELWA/Correspondence School, College of Education, Dispensary, adding that the people would also review evangelism in Igbaja and environ.
Olayemi also said that departed heroes and heroines of faith in Igbaja would be remembered and some presented with special awards for service in various churches and institutions.
