ALL Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives aspirant for the Ilorin East/Ilorin South federal constituency of Kwara State, Oluwashola Idiagbon, has dragged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) before a State High Court, Ilorin for allegedly publishing name of one Alhaji Abdulganiyu Cook-Olododo as the winner of the APC National Assembly primary.
Mr Idiagbon, a member of the late Major General Tunde Idiagbon extended family also accused the APC of substituting his name with Alhaji Cook-Olododo as the candidate of the NASS primary.
Idiagbon, who claimed that he polled 7,118 votes to beat Cook-Olododo to the second position with 6,568 votes, said that Funso Saad came third with 1,150 votes in the said APC NASS primary.
Idiagbon contended that his right has been infringed upon by the alleged substitution of his name with another name, thus seeking redress in the court.
He added that: “it is in the interest of justice to grant his application.

In a motion on notice brought pursuant sections 6 and 36 of the Nigerian Constitution by Idiagbon (claimant/plaintiff), his counsel, John Dada, is praying the court for “an order of interlocutory injunction restraining the defendants/respondents from either by themselves, their agents, servants, privies, assigns or anyone whosoever from recognizing, submitting/forwarding and publishing the name of Olododo (third respondent) or any other person as candidate of Ilorin East/Ilorin South Federal Constituency of the House of Representatives from Kwara State in the forthcoming 2019 general election pending the hearing and determination of the suit.”
Also in a motion ex-parte, the plaintiff/claimant is seeking “an order abridging the time within which the defendants/respondents may defend this suit from 30 days to seven days and leave of court to effect the service of the originating summons, other accompanying processes and other court processes in this case forthwith on APC (first respondent), INEC (second respondent) outside jurisdiction.”
In his grounds of the application, the plaintiff said he is a member of the APC with registration code number 061904.
The motion ex-parte added that the “claimant/applicant is a member of the APC who won the primary election conducted on 5th October 2018 for the Ilorin South/Ilorin East Federal Constituency of the House of Reps in Kwara State.”

My boy Maruf Daromosu
Buhari is planning to rig 2019 election by not using e-voting. There must be e-voting! This INEC chairman has no credibility.
INEC must follow electoral act. INEC cannot take independent decision outside the electoral act. If they need time, they will be given time…..but to dump electoral act is criminal and the INEC chairman must be locked up for disobeying the law.
‘Not using e-voting,’ is Buhari’s plan to rig 2019 election. NASS must stand up to this impunity.
Predetermined outcome for Buhari’s success in 2019 is fraud. It is corruption. It is impunity. Why declare votes before election. Who does that?
So much impunity in Buhari’s corrupt administration.
Thank God. Finally senate overrides Buhari on electoral act, passed the bill, now closing the gap for corruption and election result mutilation. God bless saraki and the good people of Nigeria.
Buhari, stop deceiving the international community that the election Will be free and fair. You could have chosen to honourable sign the electoral act, instead you did the reverse.
Already INEC chairman is a criminal, he must be arrested. He cannot conduct a free and fair elections.
1. He falsified documents of kogi electorate and forged their signatures just to get at Dino
2. He rigging Ekiti state elections with 30,000 Nigerian police officers.
3. He attempted to stop issuing PVCs when he realized that north had collected more PVCs than south.
4. He Covered up for underage voters in North.
5. He wants to use N6billion to feed police in 2019 elections when the same money can pay police salaries and pension for one year, to reduce police misconduct. This is the same police he used to rig elections in ekiti state.
6. INEC connived with touts to sell PVCs to individuals at N1,500 in lagos. Go to Ikorodu INEC office and you will not be disappointed. How is this INEC chairman credible?
7. After cancelling so many viable votes, and sending INEC official to tear ballot papers of Adeleke’s votes, Adeleke of PDP still won the election. Yet INEC, with all its impunity and corruption refused to declare Adeleke winner. Osibanjo shamelessly called the INEC official while he was still addressing the press to declare the election inconclusive. Thank God for stored call logs on cell phones. Shame on these thieves.
8. Instead Buhari sends Nigeria military to terrorize osun state and hand over the state to APC. This is not democracy. Democracy was when Adeleke of PDP won the election in a leveled playing field and without the intimidation of the police and military.
9. CSOs raise alarm over purchase of PVCs from their owners in Kano state. Yet corrupt INEC is deaf and blind to it. Perhaps this is the 2.9million voter who would likely vote for Buhari. This is what the governor of Kano state was referring to, when he said that 1.2million votes are ready for Buhari.
10. Judiciary under Buhari is enabling corruption and encouraging impunity. Why is the tribunal speaking the same language of lies as those who rigged elections?
11. ETC
Our votes are not safe with this corrupt criminal called INEC chairman. He must be arrested. This man is unfit to conduct a free and fair elections. He is working for corrupt Buhari and not for Nigeria.
