
It has been a year that Adekunle Gold released his debut album, Gold under his former record label, YBNL, owned by Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Baddo.
The album, according to Gold, was released amid a lot of uncertainty and nervouseness but, it has since become a phenomenom that has not only changed his life for good, but one that has positioned his music career for greatness.
Speaking on his music journey in the last one year, the singer stated that his music career has been a journey that will continue to evolve with time.
Adekunle Gold’s album has travelled far and near in the last one year. From Igbo to Efik, Fulani to Hausa, East Africa, French, Chinese, Italian and American not to forget Irish, the album has been well accepted and loved.
The music journey, according to Gold, has been a hard and noisy road to travel. He described his fans as the “wind under his wings.
“For everyday that my fans discover their new favourite song on the album, they have shown me that I am on to something bigger.
“I am not in this business to make disposable music. The goal is for our relationship to be timeless. My dream has always been to always be the sound to your happy or sad states. A soundtrack to your milestones; your coming together and your heartbreaks,” he said.
