The deposed traditional ruler and the paramount ruler of Mahin kingdom, in Ilaje Local government Area of Ondo State, Oba Lawrence Omowole, on Thursday, said he remained the traditional head of the kingdom.
The monarch who stated this through his lawyer, Olusola Oke maintained that those behind his purported sack were impostors and unknown entities in Mahin Kingdom.
He described his purported sack as a ‘mischievous act carried out by some individuals in the land saying that only the state government has the constitutional right to depose him as the traditional ruler of the kingdom.
He denied the allegation of installing king in Aboto community saying those who signed the letter of his deposition were fake kingmakers.
In his press statement, the monarch said” for the records. “His Imperial Majesty denies in its entirety the baseless allegation that he ceded Aboto community which is an important part of Mahin kingdom to another person either in the garb of a king or otherwise.
“The allegation that His Majesty installed foreigners as Baales or Olojas on Igbokoda or any other part of Mahin land is also denied..
“Consequently His purported removal by a group of persons in clear breach of the customs and traditions of Mahin Kingdom, due process of law and statutory procedures are unacceptable cannot and will not hold.
