Former Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District of Plateau State, Senator Istifanus Gyang, has declared that members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the zone are awaiting justice from the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) over the controversy surrounding the recent senatorial primary election in the district.
In a statement issued by the Director-General of his primary election campaign, Comrade Lot Adas, Senator Gyang, who contested in the senatorial primary, said the election fell short of established standards and democratic norms.
He expressed deep concern over what he described as the failure to conduct a transparent and credible primary election, adding that party members in Plateau North were denied the opportunity to freely elect their preferred candidate.

Gyang maintained that no senatorial primary election took place in Plateau North, alleging that results were instead “concocted and allocated to suit a predetermined outcome.”
Senator Gyang further argued that such actions undermine internal party democracy and erode the confidence of loyal party members who have worked for the growth of the APC in the state.
