Primate Ayodele on kidnappers

Primate Elijah Ayodele is the founder and spiritual leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, and one of Nigeria’s most widely followed prophetic voices on national and global affairs. In this interview with SEYI SOKOYA, he reveals how politics, governance, security, the Nigerian economy, and international relations will be shaped in 2026.

SOME of your prophecies in 2025 appeared misunderstood. It would be recalled that you earlier directed your prophecy to the igbo people and there was a backlash, despite your friendship with them. You also had predictions about the current Nations Cup, Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman. Some of these prophecies went viral and you were criticised. What do you say about this?

I don’t bother about what people say about my prophecies. I don’t have any explanations to any human being. I am only answerable to God. What I said about Osimhen is that his movement to Galatasaray for four years will see his fortune dwindle. Four years is too much. He should only sign for a maximum of two years. It is a warning. But some people decided to twist that. Likewise, the issue with Ademola Lookman. What I said was that during the AFCON tournament, Lookman would lack the capacity for a full 90 minutes. I never said he was going to be bad luck for the team. I never said he should not be chosen. But haters of God twisted what I said. When you look at Ezekiel 3:17, the Bible says God has set the prophet as a watchman. That is who I am. I am to warn. About the Igbos, I don’t want to comment again about that prophecy. It was twisted. I don’t need to drag any matter. It is all about time.

If you go to a prophet and he says you should get a trumpet, does this have any spiritual meaning? Does the trumpet and its use in a prayer-related setting have anything to do with one’s success in life?

Look at the Book of Joshua 6, Joel 2:1, Exodus 19:16 and First Corinthians 13. That will be my answer to that question. There is nobody who wants to succeed in life that will not seek divine intervention. If and when God gives you promises and you refuse to seek divine intervention, those promises will not come to pass. People are pretenders; they do not like to show others the way. They do not want others to know the secret to their success. When you decide to fast and pray, what you have done is to seek divine intervention. If you are a Muslim and you decide to give alms, you are seeking divine intervention. When you decide to fete people in church, you are seeking divine intervention. When you give alms to beggars, you are seeking divine intervention. We seek divine intervention in different ways.

There are times you may be asked to go to the market to purchase some spiritually symbolic items. You may get there and find out that the materials are expensive. This means that it is the market which demands those items from you, and not the spiritual guide. There are different ways to seek divine intervention. God asked Abraham to offer his only son so as to be blessed. When Donald Trump wanted to be U.S. President, he sought divine intervention. There are many people who join spiritual cults for power and success. Jesus went to the Mount of Transfiguration with a few of his disciples and he told them not to disclose what they had seen on the mountain.

What does 2026 hold for Nigeria?

The Spirit of God revealed to me that the country Nigeria should pray because of the many things that will be happening. I foresee Nigeria will face challenges and counter-challenges such as ethnic crises. Nigeria must be careful and be watchful of economic hardship in the new year.

I foresee the government will do its utmost best to stabilise things, but the balancing will be very difficult. The country will face so many political upheavals that will frustrate the efforts of the government on all fronts. I foresee the government, in the process, will take a lot of wrong steps. There will be wrong pieces of advice. The Spirit of God says the aides will not allow the President to see what is coming ahead. The Lord revealed to me that the efforts of the President will be frustrated with wrong pieces of advice. These are the words of the Lord.

The Spirit of God says Nigeria is in a state of coma economically, politically and security-wise. I foresee that no matter what the President is doing, the situation is critical. I foresee the President will make a series of serious efforts to win the election for a second term in office.

The Spirit of God says in the year 2026, the President must be watchful for what is tagged political nemesis in the country. He needs fervent prayers in this regard. I foresee there will be so many factors that will determine the situation of things. So many challenges will rise up against the President even as the President will be running up and down for negotiations with members of the international community. The President will be in a state of desperation and thus will be ready to do and undo so many things. The Spirit of God says he must be careful and resolute so that he can have a firm grip on the ensuing challenges.

I foresee political foes and the opposition groups will want to frustrate all his efforts unless he is able to take decisive steps to scuttle and scatter the plans and the movements of the ADC.

I foresee the ADC members are ready to fight in order to wrestle for the political control of the country from the ruling APC. The main obstacle will be if the ADC is fielding a weak candidate. The ADC will want to use all the apparatus at its command to achieve what they want to do in order to achieve victory at the polls.

The Spirit of God revealed to me that the ruling party will surprise the key figures and elements in the opposition parties and will not encourage any coalition with the PDP. The opposition will welcome coalition arrangements. The ruling party will do everything politically and technically to oppress and suppress the opposition groups and political organisations. The APC will do so many things to make sure that the opposition does not have any weight politically.

The Spirit of God says the ruling party must know that the opposition parties are battle-ready and will want to do everything possible to win come 2027.

No doubt Nigerians are not happy with the ruling party. However, I foresee the ruling party will do everything possible to make sure that they use the Independent National Electoral Commission and other things within their powers to secure victory. The ruling party will use the security agencies to intimidate and harass people who are committed to the opposition agenda.

The ADC as a political party must watch carefully the unfolding drama. I foresee that all areas where the ADC can have an upper hand during polls will be blocked. The Spirit of God says the ruling party will do everything humanly possible to reach out to Obas (traditional rulers), artisans and students in the country.

The Spirit of God revealed to me that the country called Nigeria needs to watch out to avert bloodbath, natural disaster and attacks on farmers.

Let us pray not to see the death of a Fuji musician. Let Nigeria be careful of poisoned baby food. Let us pray not to see the death of any cultural dancer. Food will be very expensive. Cost of living will be very expensive. Standard of living will drop.

Let us pray not to lose any activists, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and a lawyer in Nigeria.

Let us pray not to lose a one-time governor, one-time Inspector General of Police, one-time National or State Assembly Speaker or any past or present Federal Minister that will fall sick.

In Nigeria, let us pray against any boat that will capsize. Some communities will go spiritual on kidnappers as revealed by the Spirit of God.

I foresee the crude oil from Nigeria’s oil wells will not have the quality grades expected in the international oil and gas market in the next 20 years from now. There will be an alternative to crude petroleum which will make the price of petrol crash.

Come 2034/2035, Nigeria should beware that the system of government in Nigeria will change, whereby it will not be a federal government anymore.

I foresee that Tinubu will do a lot of work for Nigeria to be saved, but those that are working with Tinubu do not want him to progress. They are frustrating the efforts of Tinubu. Some are only pretending. Tinubu should do more checking.

I foresee herdsmen want to create panic and explosion in Rivers, Ogun, Kano, Kaduna and Sokoto States.

The Spirit of God says herdsmen, bandits and kidnappers will be a thing of the past if the government is ready to do the needful without foreigners’ interference. I foresee it is not their primary concern. The real interest is to remove Tinubu from power.

The government must not look only at what is on ground. They must not sleep because of foreign influence in the coming elections. Despite all the decamping by governors, they should look beyond the election as ordinary. The election is not ordinary at all. It is very crucial and serious. Both parties will do all they know how to do best to defeat the opposition. The opposition has gotten all the money that they need to do what will favour them to win.

The opposition groups mean business; they are ready to use every technique and trick for it. They will be celebrating before the announcement of the real final results.

All the ocean in Lagos will be used for building; they will be sold and very expensive. Lagos will take a new law on real estate. Let us commit schools in Lagos into God’s hands against all attacks. Pray for principals of federal schools not to be dismissed, rectors not to have accidents, and Vice Chancellors not to experience EFCC matters. Nigeria’s satellite in orbit will shift position. Watch so that the Army and Police will not fight.

Do you see any improvement concerning insecurity?

I foresee that the government will subdue kidnappers as there will be open confrontation with them. They will engage the military formations in open confrontation, but the government can overpower them if the government is ready. Let us be watchful so that the soldiers fighting the terrorists will not go on strike or protest because of non-payment of remunerations.

I foresee so many heads will roll on this issue, but the Nigerian government will not be able to do much about those involved in the negotiation of kidnappers. These people are everywhere in Nigeria. Their primary aim is to destroy the government of Tinubu. There will be a new method of collecting money by the bandits to avert detection.

I foresee the operations of the herdsmen will take a new dimension and the reactions of the citizens will change about them. They will face them squarely. Herdsmen will cause a lot of havoc and damage in Nigeria.

The Spirit of God says security lapses will be tormenting the farmers and agricultural yields will reduce, not only in Nigeria but in other countries. If care is not taken, the prices of foodstuffs will go up due to poor yields.

I foresee that Al-Qaeda will join the terrorists and they will be arrested. They will arrest the commander head of Boko Haram and will kill two important people in Boko Haram. But if the government does not stop their financiers, it will be terrible. These financiers are some politicians, army generals and some foreigners. They are the ones giving the government solutions. The resources causing problems, the government must work on them; if not, terrorism voltage will increase.

When the government makes mining legalised and does proper things, putting CCTV to monitor the activities of these miners, this will reduce insurgency.

Tinubu must not be deceived by what is going on around him. Insurgency is being sponsored by some foreign experts. Until they do what is needful to eradicate these miners, that is when fighting in the country will reduce, likewise in Ghana, DRC and Sudan.

2026 precedes 2027, which is the year many politicians are gunning for. What do you see?

I foresee the 2027 election will be tough. There will be a lot of technical issues that will dominate the conduct and handling of the election. The election will be very serious, but there will be a lot of misconceptions. I foresee there will be different results. The election needs fervent prayers against bloodbath, killing of electoral officials and burning of offices.

I foresee that people voting against the ruling party in the election will spend a lot of money. The Spirit of God says not all the present Senators and House of Representatives members will win at the polls. These are the messages from the Lord.

I foresee the 2027 election will take a new and different dimension in Nigeria. The Spirit of God says the electoral umpire (INEC) will come out with different methods in the conduct of the election. Nigerians will accuse INEC of so many things. I foresee that in the 2027 Nigerian elections, there will be fighting and fake ballot papers will be in circulation.

I foresee that the game plan for the election will change. So many forces will be at work and this will make the election to be seen as more than ordinary voting at elections.

The 2027 election will bury some people politically as it will put the final seal on their partisan political engagements. The two leading political parties will be fighting a lot for the survival of the fittest. This election will involve institutions of government from various countries and machinery for conducting polls. It is an election that will take time and define the interest of the people. The 2027 general election will determine the fate of this country.

I foresee that the opposition party is desperate to win in 2027. Likewise, the ruling party, the APC, is also making desperate moves to win. The ruling party will do all within its powers to return to office. I foresee the 2027 election will be very tough.

As the build-up to the 2027 general election unfolds, I foresee that the opposition party is ready for rigging and the ruling party, the APC, is also very much ready to rig the election in its favour on the first ballot.

As part of the rigging plans, I foresee that members of the opposition party will take to the streets jubilating that they have won the election even before the final declaration of results. Under this condition, it will now be the responsibility of INEC or the courts to clear the fog. The Spirit of God says all the political gladiators must be careful so as not to cause chaos in the country before, during and after the election.

Peter Obi will contest under ADC, not Labour Party, but cannot win independently as he will need the backing of other top-notchers in the party.

Rotimi Amaechi and Peter Obi will fight dirty. Nyesom Wike and Siminalayi Fubara will fight. Wike should seek the face of God so that no one will bring problems between him and Tinubu. ADC must be careful so that their headquarters will not be set on fire. Atiku should watch insecurity.

What should the world at large expect?

I foresee some Presidents will be jailed for wrongdoings while some will be charged for genocide. I foresee there will be three major plane crashes that will humble the world, involving important personalities. Let us pray fervently to avert these.

I foresee that at the global level, the people and the leaders will face a lot of tasking challenges. There will be a lot of fire outbreaks in Europe and the Americas. The Spirit of God says there will be a temporary lockdown in 2027.

I foresee there will be a lot of crises in the world. Let us pray a former President and a sitting President will not go to jail. Let us pray against plane crashes and emergency crash landings. There will be constant shootings in many countries like Colombia, Australia, France, America and Ukraine. Let us pray so that animals will not attack human beings in the world at large. Let us pray against train derailments. There will be too many fire outbreaks.

I foresee a new explosive device will be produced in Korea, China, North Korea, South Korea and Russia. Let us commit all these into prayers. I foresee there will be new developments as technology will be high.

Let us pray against war situations in Tanzania, USA, UK, Myanmar, Yemen, Sudan, South Sudan, Israel, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Guinea, Uganda, Greece, Togo, South Africa, Russia, Libya, Egypt and Morocco.

I foresee an American fighter jet will crash in action. I foresee an attack on a Russian fighter jet.

There will be misunderstandings between Russia, China and the United States of America. Africa, Ukraine and the EU will be disappointed. I foresee the climatic condition in Niger Republic will be very hot.

Let us pray that no train will derail or be involved in fatal accidents in the world. I foresee a serious train accident is imminent and the bombing of a train station.

I foresee that python skin will be used to heal decayed skin. The world will go digital, such that people will not be using keys or key holders any longer.

I foresee that vehicle tyres will no longer deflate but will only expire. I foresee there will no longer be surgical operations as computers using Artificial Intelligence will be involved in treatments. They will no longer change medicated glasses for people who have eye problems; rather, they will infuse a device into the eyeball.

I foresee there will be a vehicle that can move both on land and on the sea. I foresee that airplane systems will be changed and airplanes will be re-modified. I foresee some adjustments to the national flags of some countries. There will be new countries that will emerge in the world. Some regions in certain countries will gain independence.

There is something that will be used to drive automobiles as an alternative to refined petroleum products. It is going to be about technology. I foresee a green world in 20 years’ time and this will bring about a lot of changes in the environment.

I foresee the use of face masks again in the world in 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030.

Let us pray so that a bridge will not collapse in Nigeria and the world at large.

I foresee two presidents will survive assassination attempts and will cheat death in the world.
