Bauchi State Governor, Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has approved the appointment of Mohammed Mahmud Bose as the new Director-General of the Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA).
The appointment was conveyed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr Ibrahim Kashim, stating that it was based on his track record of “sincerity, hard work, dedication, exemplary behavior, and, above all, a wealth of experience and a sense of responsibility.”
The Governor expressed hope that the new Director-General would utilize these qualities in facing the challenges of his new office to facilitate the attainment of the collective vision and goals, bringing positive changes and a new lift for the people of Bauchi State.
The Commissioner of the Ministry of Housing and Environment, Rt Hon Danlami Ahmed Kawule, in announcing the appointment, congratulated the new Director-General.
The Commissioner promised to work in synergy towards achieving the goals and objectives of this administration. He also commended the former Director-General, Dr. Ibrahim Kabir, for his records and achievements in the Agency.
Former Director-General of the Agency, Dr. Ibrahim Kabir, while congratulating the new Director-General, appreciated the Governor for the opportunity given to him to serve as the Chief Executive of the Agency.
He also congratulated the Bauchi state government as well as the Ministry of Housing and Environment for having another energetic and trustworthy person to manage the affairs of the Agency.
The former Director-General added that he would now fully concentrate as the Bauchi State Project Coordinator of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscape (ACReSAL), which is also under the Ministry of Housing and Environment.
In his words of thanks, the newly appointed Director-General, Mohammed Mahmood Bose, expressed his profound gratitude to the Governor for finding him worthy of the appointment.
He also thanked the Commissioner, Ministry of Housing and Environment, and the former Director-General for recommending him for this important position.
The new Director-General also called on the staff of BASEPA to cooperate and support him in the discharge of his responsibilities and the delivery of the Agency’s mandate to keep the state clean and healthy, and the environment protected. He pledged to carry everyone along to attain the current administration’s initiative of #MyBauchiProject.
Until his appointment, the new Director-General of BASEPA, Mohammed Mahmood Bose, was a Lecturer with the Federal University of Kashere, Gombe State, and currently supporting the ACReSAL project as a Climate and Social Livelihood Specialist.
