EFFORTS of the Gombe Police Command to rid the state of criminals has recorded a huge success with the arrest of three members of suspected notorious armed robbers who have been terrorizing innocent citizens on the Gombe to Yola road.
State Commissioner of Police, Shina Tairu Olukolu, who addressed newsmen at the Command headquarters Monday, said that the suspects who were suspected belong to syndicates have been terrorizing the people of Gombe and neighbouring states.
He said that the suspects include: Bature Sule, 41 years old from Bambam village, Rabiu Musa, 42 years old of Yari village all in Balaga Local government Area and Shaibu Lawan, 40 years old of Lafi Bulu in Yamaltu/Deba local government Area of the state.
The Police Boss said further that the suspects were arrested with one AK47 with breach No 00457, 35 round of live ammunition, one cutlass, 4 handsets and N188,500 cash.
Shina Olukolu also said that the three suspect were arrested by the Police at their hideout at Bambam Village after robbing one Chinedu Obi of Bakin, Kinsley Joseph in Bambam Village while Zachariah Abbas of Kidda town in Yamaltu/Deba local government area who killed his ex-wife, a student of Federal College of Education (Technical) Gombe behind her hostel on 1st May 2018 was also arrested.

He said that another suspect who specialized in stealing vehicles, Mohammed Bukar Alias Mammadi, 33 years old of Tageri in Borno State, was arrested by the FSARS of Yobe and Gombe states after he stole a Honda Civic with registration number AE434 DKU which has been recovered in Habu Mu’azu Jumma’at Mosque in Federal low-cost in the State capital on 04/5/2018.
Shiba Olokolu further said that other suspects are Musa Kamson 33 years old and his wife Binta Musa, 25 years old Maitunku Dadiya in Balanga local government Area of the state were arrested by the Police for taking the law into his hands by killing a victim who he suspected had carnal knowledge of his wife.
