Gbajabiamila, Wase felicitate el-Rufai at 60

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep Femi Gbajabiamila and his Deputy, Rep Ahmed Idris Wase, have felicitated the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai on his 60th birthday.

In a statement, the Speaker described el-Rufai as a visionary leader whose main preoccupation is to make Kaduna State great.

In a statement made available to newsmen, in Abuja on Sunday, by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Lanre Lasisi, the Speaker said el-Rufai’s 60 years on earth had been for service to humanity.

According to him, “the Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai comes across as a highly patriotic Nigerian, whose contributions to nation-building are everywhere for all to see.

“Since his days in the Bureau for Public Enterprise (BPE) and later as a Minister of FCT, el-Rufai has always put Nigeria first.

“Today, Kaduna State is witnessing unprecedented infrastructural development courtesy of el-Rufai’s resolve to make the state, especially the capital city, Kaduna, a modern city.

“As a member of our great party, the APC, el-Rufai has shown, time without number, how committed he is to the growth and development of the party.

“I wish the Kaduna State Governor good health and many more happy years on earth.”

In a related development, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Ahmed Idris Wase, has congratulated the Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai, on attaining the age of 60.

Wase, in a congratulatory message signed by his chief press secretary, Alhaji Umar Mohammed Puma, described El-Rufai as a developmental leader with an eye for excellence.

According to him: “El-Rufai is a courageous and exemplary leader, who leaves his imprints of excellence on the sands of history anywhere he has opportunity to serve the nation.


“As a Director-General of the Bureau of Public Enterprise (BPE), the youthful El-Rufai showed his mettle and left no one in doubt that he was prepared for leadership.

“As minister of the FCT, El-Rufai was able to transform Abuja and set the tone for its return to the original plan”, adding that “he was also an integral part of the reforms carried out by the then administration.

“As Governor of Kaduna State in the last five years, el-Rufai has brought uncommon initiatives to bear on the state. He has embarked on sustainable and enduring infrastructural development in the state”

He applauded the Governor’s efforts in restoring peace and uniting the people of the state, “thereby restoring law and order”

” I wish Governor El-Rufai many more decades of good health, wisdom, God’s protection and the strength to continue to serve the good people of Kaduna state and Nigeria at large.”
