As part of efforts targeted at addressing the issue of child molestation in Nigeria, a not-for-profit organisation, Kasbell Grassroot Charity Foundation, recently took the campaign against the menace to some schools in Lagos State.
The child protection programme, themed Empowering Youth to Speak Against Abuse’, took the Foundation to Randle Primary School, Surulere, and Morocco Comprehensive Junior School, Yaba/Shomolu, Lagos, with a main focus on educating the students on recognising, reporting, and preventing abuse, which reinforced Kasbell Charity Foundation’s commitment to creating a safer community for children.
The Foundation was well represented during the programme by Mr Wakeel Folaranmi (Secretary), Hon. Alhaja Fasilat Adesina (Head of Counselling), Mr Yusuf Balogun (Head of Logistics), Mrs Abimbola Shittu (Head of Welfare), Ms Feyisetan Hamzat (Head of Media), and Mrs Adesewa Odewunmi (Member).
Founded in 2013 by Mrs. Lateefat Oluwakemi Bello-Salami, Kasbell Grassroot Charity Foundation is committed to improving lives across Nigeria through individual charity, support for the less privileged, and educational initiatives.
The foundation’s ongoing efforts to provide school supplies, pay educational fees, and offer vocational training demonstrate its unwavering commitment to empowering underprivileged youth and breaking the cycle of poverty.
The recently held child protection programme is a testament to its holistic approach to community support and development.
