Bandits have become a permanent feature in Kaduna state and it doesn’t take a genius to know that from the way the bandits operate in the state, without the help of internal forces, informants and saboteurs, it will definitely be impossible for them to enjoy that level of success
Bandits cannot strike without adequate information from an inside source. A Yoruba proverb says ‘bi iku Ile o pa ni, tode o le pa ni.’ This means if there is no enemy within, the enemy outside cannot kill you.
To check the menace of bandits in Kaduna state, President Muhammadu Buhari should support Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufai by deploying more security operatives to that state to comb the forests and ensure that the lives and property of Kaduna indigenes including travellers are protected.
The Federal government should make its strategy to eliminate bandits a secret because announcing their plans will lead to failure because the bandits will work around any public strategy. It is time for President Muhammadu Buhari to help the people of Kaduna state to flush out bandits
