THERE was pandemonium in Osogbo, Osun State capital in the early hours of Thursday following the shocking discovery of copses of three members of the same family in their apartment located around Olorisaoko compound, Oja-Oba area.
Though the actual cause the death could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, TribuneOnline reliably gathered that neighbours who went to their house around 7.30am to collect money for electricity bill discovered a toddler crying inside the residence.
Frantic efforts made to call their mother simply identified as Mary Samuel yielded no results, a development which compelled the apprehensive neighbours to force the door to the flat open, where they discovered the lifeless body of Mary, one of her daughters and a grandchild.

The remains of the victims have been deposited at the morgue of LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, while one of Mary’s daughters, identified as Jumoke, who survived the incident had been rushed to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife for medical attention.
When contacted for reaction, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Osun State Police command, Mrs Folasade Odoro did not respond to several calls put through to her mobile phone, neither did she reply text message forwarded to her.
