STAKEHOLDERS from ishielu local government area of Ebonyi State has bared their minds to the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) that Emeka Irem remains the only candidate that would bring hope and redeem the confidence of the people in their party.

The stakeholders made this known when the aspirant from  Ishielu south constituency in Ebonyi state, Prince Emeka Irem called on Ebonyi people to support the second term bid of the governor, Engr David Umahi, in the 2019 governorship election.

The aspirant who led over 5000 supporters to purchase his PDP nomination form at the party’s office noted that apart from the clamour for equity and justice, Umahi has performed well to be supported for another term.

The stakeholders and youths of Ishielu South constituency express their determination to oust the incumbent, Julius Nwokpor whom they accused of poor representation and abysmal performance.

Already, several interest groups have advised the PDP in the state to give the ticket to Irem, as they had unanimously adopted him as their sole candidate in the 2019 election.

Addressing the supporters, the aspirant, Prince Irem noted that the constituency has been poorly represented in the past, adding that his ambition was geared towards offering to redeem the thrust and hope of his people.

He stressed that it was expedient for the PDP to field a strong and popular aspirant in all the elective positions so that the victory of the Party will not be jeopardized in the 2019 general elections.

“I want to assure you that I will offer good representation if elected. I will be available in the morning; I will be with you in the afternoon and I will be with you in the night and always. Our constituency has no impact of representation. We were often forgotten, marginalized and neglected because nobody speaks for us. With me, I will continue to speak for development, for growth, for remembrance.”

“I will uplift the fortunes of our great party in the constituency. My concern is the total victory for our party. I will make our governor proud by galvanizing support for the PDP and for his reelection. So, my people, I, therefore, present myself to contest for the Ishielu south constituency in Ebonyi state house of assembly in the 2019 election,” Irem said.
