Security operatives deployed to the Federal High Court have barred journalists from various media organisations from accessing the courtroom to report the arraignment of the former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai.
Recall that he was arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on Tuesday over alleged money laundering and other financial fraud.

However, as journalists from different organisations made their way to the entrance of the court building, they were turned back by security operatives, who only allowed the ICPC media cameraman entry.
This development has frustrated dozens of journalists who were on the ground to cover the arraignment.
As of the time of filing this report, the journalists’ only option is to wait outside the court premises to receive briefings from counsel for both the ICPC and El-Rufai.
