The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Kannywood actress, Samha Inuwa, over alleged Naira mutilation.
The Kano Zonal Directorate of the EFCC arrested Inuwa on Tuesday following a viral video on social media showing her using Naira notes to clean mucus from her nose.
According to a statement on Tuesday, the Commission traced and arrested her after the video circulated online.

She is currently being held at the Commission’s detention facility while investigation continues.
The statement added that the suspect will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
This is not the first time a prominent figure has been arrested over Naira mutilation. Tribune Online reports that in a previous case, popular cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, was arrested at Pinnock Estate in Lagos over abuse of Naira, spraying of notes and currency mutilation.
Additionally, celebrity bartender Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, forfeited ₦10 million to the Federal Government in 2024 as a fine after entering into an out-of-court settlement with the EFCC over alleged Naira abuse.
