THE Director General of Nigeria Civil Aviation, Captain Musa Nuhu has described the immediate past general manager, public affairs of the authority, Mr. Sam Adurogboye as a dedicated, hardworking and honest staff.
The director general while speaking at the 60th birthday and book launch of Adurogboye entitled ‘Handbook on Public Relations Practice and Aviation Reporting’, described Adurogboye as “one of the good guys that we have”.
He however added that Adurogboye as a journalist will continue to provide the service even outside the government system, saying “He came from aviation correspondents. He was one of you and he has come to work for the government, he knows the other side. So, he will go back to you and I think he’s a good resource for you to work with somebody who has the inside information and knows the way things work”.
Describing Adurogboye as a good resource to the NCAA and the sector which he said made it too important for the sector to let him go,declared “So, we will also continue to work with Sam in the best ways we can do.”
The unveiling of the 16-chapter handbook which was chaired by the Managing Director of Drugfield Pharmaceutical Limited, Pharmacist KunleEkundayo is a product of years of research and the professional experience of Adurogboye, who is a seasoned and an award-winning media manager and public relations practitioner.
In putting together the book, Adurogboye seeks to enhance the professional proficiency of media and public relations practitioners, aviation lawyers, students etc.
Presented in elegant prose and rich in perspectives, the book addressed topics such as: What is not Public Relations; Public Relations and Marketing of Bad Product; PR as a Management functions; My Experience; Media Relations; Bilateral Air Service Agreements (BASA); Aviation Reporting; Role of the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology, NCAT; My Field Experiences, among others.
The book is published by SAPTCO Communication Limited, a PR firm and is in paper back and hard cover to take care of all classes of readers and buyers.
