During the breakfast meeting with journalists at his country home in Ado Ekiti on Sunday, Senator Ojudu noted that “it will be suicidal to allow anyone who does not subscribe to progressive ideas and ideals to govern Ekiti State again after Fayose.
“Ekiti has always belonged to the progressives from the days of Awolowo, through to the June 12 and into the Fourth Republic. The coming to power of the PDP in Ekiti State is an aberration and will therefore not be allowed again by the people of Ekiti,” he said.
Senator Ojodu however frowned at media reports published earlier, which misquoted him to have used the word ‘decampee’.
Reacting to the statement, Sen Ojodu’s media team emphasised that the senator “respects every member of the party and he believes that all hands must be on deck to sweep away the present administration that has caused the state and the people nothing but pain since inception in 2014.
“As such, the Special Adviser will continue to work towards bringing in more people of like minds from other parties until Fayose is stripped of every decent politician in Ekiti.
“The mischievous report is a ploy to destabilise the party in Ekiti State and cause disaffection within their ranks, Senator Ojudu maintains that he will continue to relate with journalists within the state and elsewhere until the APC dislodges the clueless government from Ekiti State.”
