A 26-year-old man, Juwon Adesuyi, on Wednesday appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for alleged robbery.
Adesuyi was docked on a two-count charge of conspiracy and robbery.
His plea was not taken.
The Prosecutor, Insp Cousin Adams told the court that the defendant had committed the offences on Feb 16, at 4.00 p.m, at Ogundimu St., Iwaya, Yaba.

He noted that the defendant, armed with a broken bottle, robbed the complainant, Okechukwu Anyigor, of his two phones and a cash sum of N700, 000.
Adams said the offence contravened Sections 297 and 299 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Alex Komolafe, ordered that the defendant is remanded at the Ikoyi Prisons, pending legal advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Komolafe adjourned the case until April 24, for the DPP’s advice.
