The General Overseer, Christ Apostolic Church (WOSEM), Lagos zone, Pastor Paul Obadare, has urged the Federal Government to fully support the security network of the South-West governments, known as ‘Amotekun.’
Obadare said that the outfit was moved by coordinated minds with the inclusion of existing security outfits.
The cleric made this known during the announcement of a week revival in commemoration of the golden jubilee of Koseunti Signs and Wonders, with the theme: “God of our Fathers,” in Lagos recently.
“I want to say that the greatest threat to security is the security itself and we have witnessed for some years now that our security outfits have been compromised as attested to by the Inspector General Of Police when he said some fake policemen actually sew uniforms and wore them for elections in Kogi State.
“What that means is that we cannot be safe with the present security arrangement.
“Governors of some states are also involved. So, there is no way they can operate it abnormally because there are brilliant minds coordinating it. So, there is nothing to fear about it,” he said.
Also, the founder, Faith Revival Apostolic Church (FRAC), Lagos State, Apostle Paul Adenuga, who also called for the Federal Government’s support for the outfit, advised that the security outfit should refrain from lies in order to be effective and purpose-driven.
Adenuga added that crime is not strange not in developed countries, hence those occupying leadership positions in the country should lead by examples.
“I also join my colleague in calling the Federal Government for the full support of the newly-launched security outfit ‘Amotekun’.
“There is no nation that would say it has not recorded crimes.
“Don’t support evil,d be grievous. May the Lord deliver us,” Adenuga said.
He urged President Muhammadu Buhari, pastors and others occupying leadership positions to lead by examples in order to nip the issue of insecurity in the bud.
