Chinwe Egwim is creating her own legacy as she succeeds after her father’s footprint

Chinwe Egwim, well known as a promoter of the economy, hails from Imo State. She was born and raised in the Southern region of Nigeria, Delta State – in a Roman Catholic home, and the first child of Chief Paschal Egwim, the Director General and CEO at the Bureau of Public Procurement and Price Intelligence (Imo State) and former senior executive leader in Shell E&P.

Chinwe Egwim, who is regarded as a national treasure, is the Chief Economist at Coronation Merchant Bank, and serves as an executive member at Coronation Merchant.

Known for volunteer works and has published over 800+ economic notes on Banking, Finance and Monetary Economics. Chinwe Egwim has also contributed to dialogues around emerging Africa by Mary Beth Leonard, former United States Ambassador to Nigeria in 2021.

She had her primary education at the British School in Assen, Netherlands and at the Montessori International School in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Her secondary education was at Jephthah Comprehensive Secondary School in Port Harcourt.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kwame Nkrumah University in Kumasi, Ghana and holds a master’s degree in financial economics from Kingston University London. Chinwe is an alumna of European School of Economics and London Financial Studies. She is succeeding after her father’s footprint in serving the public and creating her own legacy in Africa.
